Darth Vader Costume Tutorial Part 7: Helmet

This is the final part of my Darth Vader costume tutorial (are ya sick of him yet?), showing how to make the Darth Vader helmet.

Darth Vader Costume Tutorial Part 7: Helmet

This tutorial is for the outer/back helmet part. The actual front half of the mask part I bought, and then created the helmet part to go over it, giving me a full 360 Darth Vader helmet/mask.

I just used straight Elmer’s glue for this, but you can also water it down 2 parts glue to 1 part water if it’s too thick. I do have a free template you can use as a guide for helmet here.

The actual frontal mask part you can pick up inexpensively on Amazon here.

    Hi There
Which size paper is the template meant for? πŸ™‚ I had a go with A4 paper and that doesnt seem to work properly.
I will try with A3 tomorrow, but just wanted to hear if it is meant for any particular size? Thank you in advance.

    • Hi Anna, it should work with A4. That’s what I used. Just make sure you have your printer set to print outside the margins. Otherwise it might be shrinking it to try and fit standard margins.
