Flash Costume Part 2 – How to Make a Flash Costume: Belt & Pants

This is part 2 of how to make a Flash costume, based on the CW’s version of the Flash costume.

How to Make a Flash Costume

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Small pieces of 3mm craft foam
1 foot of gold foil fabric (should be long enough to go around your waist)
1/2 yard of red vinyl (You may or less need more depending on your size)
About 15 inches of fake black leather
8 feet of thin, gold cording
8 gold paper fasteners
1 large snap
Scissors
Hot glue gun

I altered the lightning bolts on the belt a bit, adding a gold paper fastener to each one to hold it in place. And I also added paper fasteners to hold the different sections of the belt together as I couldn’t find a glue that would hold them onto the vinyl (or at least, I couldn’t find a glue that didn’t require a hazmat suit…) The pants I simplified a lot just to make them easier.
