How to Make a Fairy Door (or Leprechaun, Elf, Gnome, etc.)

A little cardboard and some scrapbooking paper can make a simple little fairy door to decorate your house.

How to Make a Fairy Door (or Leprechaun, Elf, Gnome, etc.)

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Cardboard
Scrapbooking paper with wood pattern
1 gold paper fastener
Twigs
Puff paint
Thread
Tape
Scissors
Glue stick
Pointed object (for poking door handle hole)

You can also use it as a leprechaun door for St. Patrick’s Day as I did here. The door sets against the wall, giving the impression that it opens into another world. Plunk a few plastic fairies next to it to represent the residents of the house. And if your walls have moldings at the bottoms, it gives the added benefit of looking like a doorstep to your fairy door.

    Excellent idea!

    • Hi Doreen, glad you enjoyed. They really are fun to put around the house in the different places. I like putting them on the walls by the kitchen counter, makes it seems like an inviting, magical place, lol.
