Phaser: Original Series – DIY Star Trek Phaser

This Star Trek phaser is made mostly out of foam, and while it does admittedly leave much to be desired, it’s definitely more cost-effective than buying one, and it sure is fun to make.

DIY Star Trek Phaser

I had a blast making this DIY Star Trek phaser and running around the house with it afterward (yeah, I turn about eleven next week πŸ˜‰). I suppose it’s probably easier to just buy one, but I’ve always been one to make things myself, (right down to bailing wire knitting needles and an abitibi board guitar), so why stop now?

I somehow missed filming the part where you paint the handle, but paint the the entire hand grip black before you glue it to the bottom of the Star Trek phaser unit.
