3 Super Easy Home Decor DIY Ideas

This week’s tutorial is a compilation of a few things I’ve been working on. They’re a few very simple home decor ideas that will hopefully give you a few ideas for your own home.

MATERIALS USED:

1st Cupboard:
An old cupboard
Old greeting cards or newspaper pictures
Photo mounting stickers
Hot glue gun
Metallic Gold rick-rack
Scissors
4 plastic heart gems

Battery Lanterns:
Old kerosene lanterns
Battery powered tea lights
Red Paint
Black Metallic paint
Brown paint
Paint Brush

2nd Cupboard (glass doors):
Old cupboard with glass doors
Old calendar pictures
Masking tape
Scissors

I was hoping to have part 2 of the Isabela costume done this week, but I didn’t quite get it finished in time. So I cut a video I’d already finished filming for this week instead. As part of my little remodel project this year, I had a few cupboards that needed a little spiffing up.

One of the cupboards actually belonged to my great grandmother, then my parents used it in their first house, and eventually my siblings and I ended up using it in our treehouse when we were little. And now I’ve got it in my place, so it’s a fun keepsake piece.

However, I like everything colorful, so I decided I needed to add to them a bit. And when I was done with the cupboards, I fixed up a few old lanterns as well. All 3 of these projects are super easy to accomplish, so they don’t take much time or effort, and they’re very low cost as well.
