A couple 2nd hand shirts and some very minimal sewing can get you a cheap and easy DIY Star Trek Voyager / DS9 Uniform.

DIY Star Trek Voyager / DS9 Uniform

MATERIALS NEEDED:
1 black long-sleeved shirt,
1 red (or other color shirt)
1 gray turtleneck
1 pair of black dress pants
1 zipper
Small scrap of cardboard
Small scraps of silver and gold adhesive foil
Sticky backed velcro
Enough gold paper fasteners to signify your chosen rank
Scissors
Sewing machine or needle and thread

Had a few requests for a Star Trek Voyager / DS9 uniform tutorial, so here it is. If you don’t like sewing, you can also just use some fabric fuse tape or hot glue instead of sewing the two shirt halves together.

I ended up using a scoop-neck shirt, but you’ll probably want to use something with a higher neck if you can find it, since mine ended up showing too much gray at the top. I did the version with the red shirt on the outside, but if you’re doing the gray version, just exchange the gray undershirt for a colored one.

The gold and silver adhesive foil for the combadge I found in JoAnn Fabrics. If you don’t have a JoAnn’s or Michael’s near you, you can also pick it up here on Amazon.
