DIY 3D Wars Christmas Tree Ornament

In this tutorial I’ll show you how to a make fun little 3D Christmas ornament for your Christmas Tree. Since the Rise of Skywalker comes out this week, the ornament is appropriately Star Wars themed.

DIY 3D Wars Christmas Tree Ornament

MATERIALS USED:
Top from a jar (metal or plastic, doesn’t matter)
3 copies of your favorite Star Wars scene
Scissors
Glue
Scraps of thick cardboard
String or ribbon

The 3D effect in this ornament is achieved by stacking multiple layers of the same picture. In this tutorial I chose to feature everyone’s favorite character: Jar Jar Binx!

Just kidding, I wouldn’t do that to you guys. I hate Jar Jar too, (like every sane person should…), so I used R2 and 3PO in this ornament. I used a top from an old jar, and I liked the gold color, so I left it plain. But if you don’t like your top’s color, you can always paint it.

This ornament was a collaboration with another youtube channel, Nerdy Creations. We’ve been following each other on youtube for several years now, and since we’re both crafty, and both nerds, we decided to collaborate. So when you’ve finished watching this tutorial, be sure to check her Star Wars ornament here as well. She’s also got a bunch of other ornament tutorials on her channel if you decide you want to really geek out your Christmas Tree!

So Merry Christmas, and May the Force Be With You!
