A few scraps of fabric, a little craft foam, and some old bottle caps will get you a cheap and easy Sub Zero mask DIY style.

MATERIALS USED:
Sub Zero Mask Template (available free in my patterns vault)
Blue fabric scraps
Black fabric scraps
Scraps of black 2mm craft foam
2 bottle caps
Black paint
Metallic silver paint
Paint brush
Scraps of yarn
Needle and thread or sewing machine
Scissors
Multi-surface glue

I chose to make this Sub Zero mask out of mostly fabric, as it’s cheaper, easier, and a lot cooler in temperature to wear. The blue and black fabric I used for this mask were scraps leftover from the 2nd hand shirts I cut up for the rest of the Sub Zero costume.

The Face Beneath The Mask

This costume also showed me just how much I look like my brother…

Even my own mother had to ask if it was me or my brother inside this Sub Zero costume. Spoiler alert, it’s me 😉

So apparently my brother and I have the exact same face from the nose up (much to his chagrin considering how much he likes to make fun of my nose shape 😂)

This mask requires a little basic sewing, but it’s only 1 seam, so it’s very easy. And if you’d rather, you could always just glue the center of the mask pieces together instead of sewing them.
