Homemade Wrapping Paper DIY Easy & Cheap – EcoFriendly Recycled Wrapping Paper
A little packing paper and some rubber stamps will get you some cheap & easy homemade wrapping paper.
MATERIALS USED:
Brown packing paper
Paper twist, raffia, or bailing twine
Tape (optional)
Stamps
Ink pad
Scissors
The brown paper I used for wrapping is the packing paper stuff that is used as stuffing when you order something online. I always save it because it’s free and has a lot of uses, including homemade wrapping paper. It give packages a great, rustic look that is super cute. And the stamps give it a handmade touch that you can personalize to the person you’re giving the gift to.
It’s also a great option if you’re looking for ecofriendly wrapping paper. It’s reusing something you probably already have on hand instead of buying something new. And if you want to be even more ecofriendly, skip the tape and just let the ribbon hold the package together.
I used paper twist as my ribbon to enhance the rustic look, but you could also use regular ribbon, raffia, or even bailing twine. I’ve used bailing twine a few times (I live on a farm, so it’s easy to come by, haha). It looks super cute and rustic. So look and around see what kind of fun ribbons you can create without buying something new!
We all have that one friend or relative who wraps gifts in newspapers because they don’t want to spend money on wrapping paper. This is an easy way to avoid being that person. Because let’s face it, it can feel kind of depressing receiving a gift wrapped in headlines about the latest crime waveβ¦
So skip the newspaper and give the packing paper a try instead. It’s cheap, ecofriendly, and super fun to DIY!
