DIY Fairy Wings Potion Bottle – Quick and Easy

DIY Fairy Wings Potion Bottle - Quick and Easy

An old spice bottle and a little metallic paint can turn some dried maple seeds into a quick and easy DIY fairy wings potion bottle.

MATERIALS USED:
Dried maple seeds (helicopters)
Metallic paints – (I used purple, gold, rose, blue, and green)
Paint brush
Clear bottle (old spice jars work great)
Cork

A recurring theme in the little worlds I make up for stories or ASMR videos is that fairies shed their wings regularly. The same way deer shed their antlers. With that in mind, I thought it’d be fun to add a little DIY bottle of “fairy wings” to my decorative potion bottles tutorial collection.

These are easy and super fun to make. The wings themselves are just maple seed helicopters. They’re covered in shades of metallic paints to give them an ethereal look. Drop them in an old spice jar with the labels removed and you’ve got yourself a jar of fairy wings, just perfect for use in any imaginary potions. Old spice bottles are perfect for these. The thinner size bottles help the wings stand on end and maintain their wing look.

And since in my worlds, fairies shed their wings, these wings were “collected” sheds, and no fairies were harmed in the making of this potion ingredient 😉
