Darth Vader Costume Tutorial Part 2: Belt and Codpiece

This is the second part of my Darth Vader costume tutorial, showing how to make the belt and codpiece.

Darth Vader Costume Tutorial Part 2: Belt and Codpiece

When you’re wearing it, you’ll tie on the codpiece first, and then fasten the belt over that. The belt I used has texture on it, because that was the only thing I could find in the local second hand shop, but if you can find a smooth belt, will look more like the one Darth Vader actually wore in Star Wars.

The little silver circles I found in JoAnn Fabrics, and they’re self-adhesive, so very convenient even though the tops are domed instead of flat like the ones on the real Darth Vader costume.

The black spray paint I used was actually called black lacquer, and it gives an extra shot of black gloss more like on the real Darth Vader costume than standard black spray paint. I found it in Lowes.
