A Princess Leia costume just wouldn’t be complete without her trademark cinnamon buns on the sides of her head.

This is one of the easier ways to get the look without having to do something drastic like superglue. It can be done with both wigs and real hair.

I’m using a wig here, because my natural hair is too light for Princess Leia, but if you want to use your real hair, it should be a few inches longer than shoulder-length to look right in the buns. If your hair is shorter than that, you might want to add extensions or just use a wig.

I only used about 5 bobby pins on each side here, but one of the buns was starting to slip out of place by the end of the tutorial, so you’ll definitely want to use more than 5 to hold them in place (especially if you’re using a wig or extensions, since synthetic hair is more slippery than real hair).
