Cheap and Easy DIY Tron Identity Disk (Legacy Version)

A little cardboard and few glow sticks will get you a very cheap and easy DIY Tron identity disk that looks fairly realistic.

Cheap and Easy DIY Tron Identity Disk (Legacy Version) MATERIALS USED:
Corrugated cardboard (old box)
Pencil
Scissors or utility knife
Hot glue gun
Twisties
Cardstock
Awl
4 glow sticks (measure for your circle)

I recently saw Tron for the first time, and coincidentally right after I saw it, I got 3 requests for the this tutorial is the same week. Now that’s what I call good timing! I was in a bit of a hurry, so I just used the only glow sticks I could find available, but a better idea would be to order glow sticks of different lengths, so you can fit them around both the outer and inner circles without having to overlap as I did.

A more permanent solution would be to wrap LED strip lights around, and hide a tiny battery pack between the layers of cardboard, but the glow sticks offer a quick and cheap alternative for a simple DIY Tron identity disk.

I did the Legacy version of the Tron identity disk because I thought it looked a little cooler than the original. Which disk do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below.
