Creative Easter Eggs To Make - DIY Easter Crafts

If you want a few alternative methods to the traditional dying and painting of Easter eggs, give these creative Easter eggs a try.

MATERIALS USED:
Eggs (I used wooden eggs)
White paint if your eggs aren’t already white
Floral stamps
Blue stamp ink
Puffy paint in various colors
Small plastic gems
Acrylic paint or Pouring paints
Reusable plastic spray bottles (optional) for pouring paint
Plastic bag

I used wooden eggs for this project, because when you have cats, you sometimes have to get a little “creative” in your holiday decor ? As any of my fellow kitty parents can attest, cats love to lay in holiday decor scenes. They have an innate need to be right in the center of everything. However, if you don’t have cats to worry about, then these techniques will work just fine on real eggs as well.

The stamped eggs are reminiscent of blue and white china. They’re fun and easy to make. Puffy paint eggs are a bit more time consuming, but give a pretty texture to the eggs, and a few plastic gems can add a dash of sparkle. And then there are the “messy” tie-dye eggs if you really want to go wild.

These are perfect if you’re dying eggs with kids, because they’re super easy and fun. You never know how they’re going to turn out. Just be sure not to use too many colors, or they’ll get muddy.

I used pouring paint that I put in little plastic spray bottles to allow me to create interesting patterns on the plastic. But you can also just use regular acrylic paint. You’ll just need to smear it around the plastic with a toothpick to get the swirl designs.
