Anakin Skywalker Costume Part 1: DIY Anakin Skywalker Costume Tunic and Belt
Had several requests for an Anakin Skywalker costume, so this is a tutorial for a simple DIY Anakin Skywalker costume.
This is for the version of the costume that Anakin wear in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. It’s basically the same costume Anakin wears in Attack of the Clones, but he now has longer hair, a scar over his eye, and a glove to cover his prosthetic limb. This tutorial is for the tunic and belt part of the Anakin Skywalker costume (to be followed by the glove and scar tutorials next week).
Anakin’s tunic is similar to the standard jedi tunic except that it’s darker and the outer tabards are leather instead of cloth…sort of the Star Wars version of a black leather jacket. Anakin also has cloth tabards made out of the same fabric as his tunic, under the leather ones, but I ran out of material, so I only did the leather ones. The pants, belts, turtleneck, and boots for my DIY Anakin Skywalker costume were all 2nd hand items that only cost a couple bucks.
And I decided to be a little squirrely at the end of this, fighting mini Obi-wan by the lava… 😉

Try to say that without laughing. *emperor palpatine laugh*
Isn’t that what the Emperor yells when he gets thrown over the railing? 😉😂
Hello, what kind of Pellon and fabrics did you use? Any pellon I have found has been far to weak. Thank you
Hi Scott, I just went to JoAnn fabrics and felt them all, and chose the stiffest one they had. I’m not sure what grade it was at this point; I just felt them and picked the stiffest one.
