DIY Halloween Graveyard: Fence, Ghost, Tombstones

Circular saw
Sand paper
Hot glue gun (or screws)
Green chalk paint
Black chalk paint
Crackle medium
Foam brush
Varnish

For Tombstones:
Jigsaw
Plywood
Sand paper
Black paint
Gray Paints (at least 3 shades)
Sponge
Small paintbrushes
Driver/drill
Screws and wood scraps for the back stakes
Foam brush
Varnish

For Ghost:
1 yard of cheesecloth
Stick
White pumpkin or gourd

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. So I make sure to do at least one Halloween project every year. This year I opted for a fun a little DIY Halloween graveyard scene.

The fence and tombstones are made out of plywood. I chose to use wood because the store-bought foam tombstones usually don’t withstand the weather for more than a season or two. But the plywood will last for years when properly sealed.

The ghost in this DIY Halloween graveyard is easily constructed from a little cheesecloth draped over a white pumpkin or gourd. If you want a ghost that will last the entire season, consider getting a dried gourd and painting it white to drape the cheesecloth over.

Happy Haunting!
