Han Solo Costume Part 2: DIY Han Solo Costume Gun Holster Belt and Pants

This is the pants and blaster holster part of the Han Solo costume.

DIY Han Solo Costume: Holster Belt and Pants

The Han Solo costume pants can be made very inexpensively with a pair of second hand pants and some ribbon. The pants don’t require any sewing, everything is hot glued. So you’ll just want to make sure that you don’t throw the pants in the dryer or you’ll melt your hot glue.

The holster pieces of the DIY Han Solo costume are pretty easy to draw freehand, so I didn’t do a template for them, but it’s best to make sure you have your blaster before you start construction on the holster, so you can make sure it’s the right size for your gun.

The easiest way to draw the holster pieces is to lay your blaster down on a piece of paper and trace around it, leaving an inch outround all the way around it. The height should end just below the blaster handle.

Thanks so much your video and explanation! I need to do one for my boy. He’ll be Luke Skywalker in the ceremony (last minutes of the first movie) but the holster was something I could not get my head around and your video helped me A LOT
