Geordi La Forge: Cheap and Easy DIY Star Trek Visor

In the video tutorial below, I’ll show you a cheap and easy way to make a DIY Star Trek visor, based on the one that Geordi La Forge wore in Star Trek TNG.

Cheap and Easy DIY Geordi La Forge Star Trek Visor

MATERIALS USED:
Corrugated Cardboard
Scrap Paper
Scissors
Utility knife
Awl or other pointed tool
Hot glue gun
Toothpicks
Metallic silver paint
Gold Metallic paint
Red Marker
Elastic
Paintbrush

I think La Forge’s visor is probably one of the most memorable TNG props for the non-Trekkies or casual Star Trek watchers (The more hard core fans are course focusing on more important things like quotes from individual episodes or comparing the captaining styles of Kirk vs. Picard 😉).

For this DIY Star Trek visor, I chose to make the entire thing out of cardboard, so it’s perfect for every budget. Assuming you’re using cardboard from old boxes you might have lying around the house, it’ll be free and eco-friendly.

Live long and prosper, and see you next week!
