This Frodo costume was made entirely from second hand clothing items (with the exception of the elvish cloak). As such, this costume can be made very inexpensively.

My video camera ended up skipping some of the hobbit feet construction. After the painting, we glued on a little bit of brown hair left over from the Frodo wig. The plastic feet and the hobbit ears for the Frodo costume both came from Amazon. You can get the feet here and the ears here. (They don’t really look like hobbit ears, but the wig covered most of them anyway).

The sword was a plastic Sting my brother had lying around already, and the ring came out of a Lord of the Rings board game we had (did I mention we’re a bunch of nerds?).

We got a plain, gold colored chain at JoAnn fabrics so she could wear it around her neck as Frodo. We ended up not using the hobbit feet for the final shot of the Frodo costume since the leaves mostly hid my sister’s feet anyway, but she wore them instead of shoes when she went out to town that night.
