How to Make Leprechaun Costume Shoes

With St. Patrick’s Day being next week and all, a leprechaun costume or two usually shows up this time of year. You can turn pretty much any pair of plain, black shoes into leprechaun shoes to go with a leprechaun costume just by using a little cardboard, gold paint and some masking tape.

Since you’ll be painting over the cardboard anyway, you can use any old piece of cardboard to make the buckles for the leprechaun costume shoes. And since the leprechaun buckles are just attached with a bit of masking tape, they come right off after the holiday and the shoes can be worn for everyday again.
