Minions Easter Eggs – Super Easy DIY

In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make some super easy DIY Minions Easter eggs.

Super Easy DIY Minions Easter Eggs

MATERIALS USED:
2 plastic Easter eggs (1 yellow, 1 blue)
2 googly eyes
Clear tacky glue
Standard tip black marker
Extra thin tip black marker (for mouth and hair details)
Metallic silver puffy paint

These are a great project to do with kids, as they’re simple and fun. You can either use plastic eggs for ease, like I did here, or you can go more old school by painting or dying real eggs half yellow and half blue, then adding in the details.

The puffy paint I used for the goggles has a two-fold duty. First it makes them look more like goggles than just eyes alone. Second, the puffy paint helps hold the eyes onto the eggs more solidly, since glue doesn’t always stick very well to a smooth plastic surface, such as that of a plastic egg.

I first got introduced to these little guys over Thanksgiving when my younger cousins were watching the minions movie after dinner. And I have to say, the movie probably has the greatest soundtrack since Forrest Gump! So that alone was reason enough for me to make up these little Minions Easter eggs. What’s your reason for putting together these little guys?
