My Not-Exactly-DIY DIY Solar Setup

So this is a little video tour of my DIY solar setup.

My Not-Exactly-DIY DIY Solar Setup

I’ve mentioned my solar setup a few times on this blog (check out my blog about the benefits of solar here). So I thought I’d do a little visual tour. This is not actually DIY solar setup per se, because everything is pre-built. But that’s also what makes it so cool and easy to setup. Anybody can use this on their own, no electrican needed.

This type of solar is very popular with vanlifers because it’s small, simple, and easy to transport. I like it because it’s light and mobile enough that I could set it up however and wherever I needed to. And if my trees change in the future, or I move to a new place, I can bring my entire solar system with me!

I use this little DIY solar setup to power everything. So every tutorial you watch of mine was created with tools and equipment all running on solar. The really great thing about this type of solar is that you can go solar slowly. You don’t have to invest in a complete solar setup all once. You can start with one battery and one solar panel like I did, and then just build from there.

If you’re interested in starting your own simple DIY solar setup, here are the links to the items shown in this video. All of them can be found at GoalZero.com or Amazon.
