In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make the giant Thanos sword from Avengers Endgame.

MATERIALS USED:
Cardboard
Sword details template (can be downloaded free from my patterns vault)
A sturdy cardboard tube
Scissors or utility knife
Hot glue gun
School glue and Foam brush
Chrome silver paint
Metallic Gunmetal Gray paint
Paint brush

It’s pretty cheap and simple to recreate with some big pieces of cardboard and a little paint. A hot glue gun adds the finer details and holds the whole thing together.

My Thanos sword ended up being a bit too big, but it’s still a lot of fun to mess around with. Being made of just cardboard, this is not a battle-worthy sword. Just for looks for cosplay. It won’t hold up in a fight.

And of course, it’s “perfectly balanced, as all things should be.” 😉
