Thranduil Costume Tutorial Part 2 and 3: Robe, Boots and Brooch

So here is part 2 and 3 of the requested Thranduil costume tutorial; the robe, boots, and brooch.

Thranduil Costume Tutorial Part 2 and 3

I didn’t have time to make up an actual pattern for this Thranduil costume, so I just show an easy way of “winging it” from scratch. If you happen to have a pattern that would make a suitable Thranduil robe, by all means, use it as a base point and just alter it to leave the front open.

For the “piping” lines, I used some metallic silver fabric paint. I found it at the local craft store, but if you can’t find it, here’s the Amazon link to the one I used in this tutorial. The slower you pull the puffy paint, the thicker your lines will be, and the more they will look like piping on the finished Thranduil costume.
