Valentine’s Day Crafts With Paper – Fancy Hearts

If you’re looking for some simple Valentine’s Day crafts, a little colored paper and some fancy cutting will get you a few fun little paper heart Valentines that you can use as decorations, or as Valentine cards themselves.
MATERIALS USED:
Red or pink paper or cardstock
Scissors
To use the Valentine hearts as cards, simply cut them a bit smaller. Then just glue them to a blank card for a simple, yet fun instant Valentine to give to someone special.
The cutting techniques of these Valentines is based in part on the way paper snowflakes are made. Though instead of folding the hearts multiple times, I only folded them in half, so it’s fairly easy to discern what they will look like before the opening. (Though I promise, the opening part is still fun!)
You can display the hearts singly, or stack them for a fun layered design. And if you want to spice them up a bit more, you could also use decorative edged shears to cut the lines. Have fun; go crazy!
And as long as you’ve got the paper and scissors out, check out some of my other Valentines projects and see if there are any you might enjoy making:
