Wheat Weaving Tutorial: Double Stacked Heart

In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make a double stacked heart wheat weaving.

Wheat Weaving Tutorial: Double Stacked Heart

MATERIALS USED:
30 Straws with heads
White thread
Scissors
Soaking dish
Ribbon

This is a wheat weaving of my own design, though being being pretty basic, I’m sure someone else throughout history probably wove something similar πŸ˜‰

This design was inspired by the traditional double Mortiford Heart design. However, instead of inverting the two hearts as the double Mortiford does, I chose to stack the hearts on top of one another. With the dual hearts, it could very easily be used as a traditional style courting favor.

As alternative, you could also add more hearts to the stack. It’d look just as charming with a stack of three or more; perfect for Valentine’s Day perhaps.
