Super Easy DIY Rainbow Galaxy Lamp

A little paint and some printed duct tape can add a dash of color to an otherwise plain lamp. And the best part, it doesn’t require any skill to do, so anyone can do it.

Super Easy DIY Rainbow Galaxy Lamp

MATERIALS USED:
Old lamp and shade
Rag for washing lamp
Piece of scrap paper
Galaxy Duct Tape
Duck tape scissors
Non-aerosol spray fabric paint

I love color, so the motto for my house is that you can never have too many psychedelic lamps. This one, however, is a lot easier to achieve than the earlier Boho lamp tutorial I did because this one doesn’t require any drawing or skillful painting. It’s all spray paint and duct tape.

This lamp was one that a relative was going to throw out because it didn’t work, so I rescued it and rewired it before I “improved” it, but you can also check your local second hand shops to find a few inexpensive lights to jazz up.

The paint I used for this lamp is non-aerosol so you can refill and reuse the spray bottles for later projects as well. I chose to use galaxy duct tape for my project, but there are a lot of different prints to choose from. Go with whatever strikes your fancy.
