An old book and a hot glue gun can get you a nice creepy DIY necronomicon.

MATERIALS USED:
An Old hardcover book
A marker
Hot glue gun
White school glue and Foam brush
Paint brush
Tissue paper
Two shades of brown paint
Scissors
Ashes or flour (optional)

In this tutorial I’ll show you how to turn a hard cover book into the book with the face from the Evil Dead movie; the necronomicon. The face is drawn with a hot glue gun and then covered with tissue paper and glue to give the illusion of leather.

If you find the hot glue gun too difficult to use you can substitute puffy paint instead. Just be sure it’s fully dry before you add the paper mache over the top.

This is very similar to the the technique I used for the witch’s spellbook tutorial.
