Palpatine Lightsaber (Darth Sidious) Lightsaber DIY

In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make a DIY Palpatine lightsaber.

Palpatine Lightsaber (Darth Sidious) Lightsaber DIY

MATERIALS USED:
2 cardboard rolls (One that can fit inside the other)
Pencil
Scissors or utility knife
Extra cardboard tube pieces
Smooth string
Scrap pieces of cardboard and cardstock
Gold adhesive foil
Silver adhesive foil
Gold Metallic paint
Paintbrush
A tapered bead or something similar
Red and green round beads
Metallic silver puffy paint

Palpatine’s lightsaber is actually one of my favorites because it’s so simple in its design. There’s not a lot of fancy attachments or shapes. It’s just pretty plain, function over frills. Which also means it’s one of the easier ones to make; bonus!

I used the silver and gold adhesive foils on my Palpatine lightsaber. They’re super shiny and look like real metal. But you can also just use metallic paints if you don’t want to use the foil. It just might not be quite as shiny.
