Darth Maul Lightsaber DIY – Star Wars Rebels

In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make the Darth Maul lightsaber from Star Wars Rebels.

Darth Maul Lightsaber DIY - Star Wars Rebels

MATERIALS USED:
2 cardboard tubes (wrapping paper rolls) of different diameter
Scissors
Utility knife
Black, red paint, Metallic Gunmetal Gray paint
Paint brush
Pencil
Silver adhesive foil
Hot glue gun
Old cord
Scrap pieces of cardstock
Cardboard
White school glue

Lightsabers are a fun way to upcycle any wrapping paper rolls or similar cardboard tubes that you may acquire from time to time. As with most of my lightsabers, I used silver adhesive foil to get that on this Darth Maul lightsaber to get that super shine. But as an alternative, you could also use silver paint or glue on some tin foil. (Check out my Phantom Menace Darth Maul lightsaber tutorial here if you want to see one done with just silver paint)

He may have been half the man he used to be, but Darth Maul’s lightsaber was as cool as ever in Star Wars Rebels 😉 Come to the dark side!

And if you need additional lightsabers, check out my other lightsaber tutorials below. Whether you’re in need of a second sith saber, or want to expand your collection with a Jedi saber. They’re all cheap and easy to make. Give it a go. And may the force be with you!
