Nature Themed Magic Wand DIY
In this week’s short tutorial, I’ll show you an idea for turning items gathered in nature into a fun little nature wand DIY.
MATERIALS USED:
Stick
Feathers
Grapevine Tendrils
Tiny pinecones
Scissors or garden nippers
Power-tac glue
Every fairy needs a magic wand, and since fairies are nature creatures, a nature wand is perfectly suited to one of the wee folk.
My base wand was a cherry branch, as I have a lot of fallen cherry branches around me. And I like the dark color of the cherry bark.
I used items that were easily gathered from the woods in my backyard for the details. But don’t limit yourself to the items I used on my wand. You can gather items special to your own area, to make your wand unique to your location.
Try to avoid paints and plastic gems on a nature-themed wand. Keep it restricted to items just found in nature for this type of wand.
It’s always a fun challenge to see how creative you can get with your nature wand, just using items from the area around you.
