In this tutorial we’ll be making a cheap and easy DIY soul reaper badge from the Bleach anime.

Bleach DIY Soul Reaper Badge - Ichigo Combat Pass - cheap and Easy

MATERIALS USED:
Badge template (available free in my patterns vault)
Cardboard
Black craft foam (or use another color and paint it black)
Scissors
Utility knife / x-acto knife
Hot glue gun
White school glue
Paint brush
Gray paint
Ribbon

I’ve never actually read or seen Bleach (though my brother did, so I am somewhat familiar with it), but I had requests to make Ichigo’s soul reaper badge. So I looked up a few pics and put this little tutorial together.

This badge is just cardboard and craft foam, so it’s very inexpensive to make. And it’s very easy as well. Aside from glue and paint drying time, you can pretty much make the entire thing in one short sitting.

I did make a free template for the upper layer (listed above) if you don’t want to draw it freehand. And you can use cardboard for both layers if you don’t have craft foam. However, I found the craft foam was easier to cut the intricate details of the top layer.

If you do decide to use cardboard for the top layer, use something like cereal box cardboard as it will be easier to cut.
