In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make the Cicada lightning dagger from The Flash.

MATERIALS USED:
Pieces of cardboard in multiple thicknesses
Pencil
Dagger template (can be downloaded free from my patterns vault)
Scissors or utility knife
Hot glue gun
Neon orange paint
Non-aerosol neon yellow spray paint
Masking tape or painters tape
Black Paint

I still haven’t seen the show yet, so I just made the Cicada lightning dagger by looking at pictures. As such there may be a few inaccuracies, but you can always make adjusts on your dagger.

The lightning dagger base is entirely cardboard, so it’s super cheap and easy to make. A little hot glue and some neon pain give it the all-important lightning glow.
