Boba Fett Costume Part 4: DIY Boba Fett Helmet and Gauntlets
So as promised, here is the rest of the requested Boba Fett costume tutorial, the helmet and the gauntlets.
Once again this is partially guest-filmed and narrated by my brother. Like the armor, a lot of this is experimental for him, and some of the parts he wasn’t able to film, so there are a few gaps in the process. If you have questions about it just post them below.
A lot of the missing parts in the video are the battle damage painting, so I would suggest that you watch last week’s armor tutorial here either before or after this video, as it will fill in a few of the missing pieces in the painting process, since he used the same technique. The smooth-on resin he used can be purchased from Amazon here. You’ll want to make sure that you paint fast, as it dries very quickly. And again, it is fairly pricey, so you might prefer to do just polyurethane sealer or Elmer’s glue instead for cheaper alternatives.
The pepakura viewer and designer (you’ll need both) for the patterns can be downloaded free here (I don’t think they have it available for Mac users yet).
And the template for the helmet can be downloaded here.
The left gauntlet here.
And the right gauntlet here.

So I read the leaks about Baby Yoda. Did you guys see them? And Baby Yoda’s name is apparantly Grogu! I think The Mandalorian is probably my favorite show right now. What a great story.
Yeah, heard that as well. It’s nice that we finally get to call the child something other than Baby Yoda, lol.
