DIY Fancy Easter Eggs Anyone Can Make
You can make these fancy Easter eggs with a little glue and some newspaper clippings. They offer a beautiful alternative to the classic stripes and polka dots that end up on most Easter eggs.
MATERIALS USED:
Blown out egg shells
Newspaper pictures
White school glue
Paint brush
Scissors
Metallic silver puffy paint
I didn’t get the cosplay project done in time to post this week. (But I’ll have it done by next week. Hint, it’s a girl who likes dragons…). So we have an Easter egg craft project instead this week.
The great part about these fancy Easter eggs is that you don’t need to have any painting skills to accomplish them. The paintbrush is strictly for painting on the glue. To make sure your eggs last for years, blow them out before you glue on your images.
To do so, just poke both ends with a fork or strong needle to make a hole. Then blow through one end of the egg. Wash and dry the empty shells, and they’re ready to use.
The metallic puffy paint surrounding the images is optional, but I think it adds an elegant touch. I used silver, but they also make metallic gold puffy paint as well. And don’t limit yourself to just metallics. Puffy paint comes in a whole rainbow of colors including neons. So choose something that matches your newspaper picture and go wild!
