DIY Peter Pan Dagger - Cheap and Easy

MATERIALS USED:

Scrap of thin cardboard
Scraps of corrugated cardboard
Scrap paper
Scissors or utility knife
Pencil
Hot glue gun
Metallic gold paint
Silver adhesive foil

The DIY Peter Pan dagger in this tutorial is a very plain and simple dagger, which means it can also be used as a base to alter for other dagger-carrying characters (I think my brother already has his sights set on using it for Link πŸ˜‰ )

I was in a bit of hurry when I made my DIY Peter Pan dagger (it’s flower season after all), so I forgot the glue-paint, but if you give your cardboard hilt a coating of school glue (Elmer’s glue) before you paint it gold, it will look much smoother and shinier. Also you can hot glue a very small strip of cardboard down the center of your blade before you put on the silver adhesive foil to give it that center ridge that most blades have.

The silver foil I used on this DIY Peter Pan dagger is the same stuff I used on my Star Wars Lightsaber. You can get it on Amazon or at most craft stores, but if need an alternative, you can also usually find silver foil tape at hardware stores. It’s like duct tape, but metallic and shiny.
