In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make DIY removable footstool covers.

MATERIALS USED:
A footstool
Your chosen fabric
Scissors
Sewing machine or needle and thread
Elastic long enough to around your footstool
Felt for the footstool feet (optional)

Footstools are great for relaxing with, but washing them can be a pain. So a simple way to make washing your footstools easier is to DIY removable footstool covers for them. That way when your footstools get dirty, you can just pull the covers off the footstool, and throw them in the washing machine. Simple and easy.

Another benefit to DIY removable footstool covers is that you can make with them any fabric you choose. You can pick something that will match or compliment your furniture, without being limited by what’s available premade. You’ll literally have an entire fabric store to choose a fabric from.
