In this tutorial I’ll show you a quick and easy way to do Emma Frost makeup. (Or more specifically her diamond skin).

MATERIALS USED:
Clear, square adhesive gems
Spirit gum and remover
Scissors
Scraps of silver fabric
Purple lipstick
Blonde wig

This video is a small part of the full Emma Frost costume tutorial from my new book: Cosplaying When You’re Broke (available on Amazon or Smashwords or wherever books are sold), which shows how to make awesome costumes without breaking the bank.

While there are much more in depth ways to do Emma Frost makeup, this is a good way to do it if you’re short on time. Rather than sticking a million gems to your face one by one, making sheets of gems allows for much quicker application with a few swipes of spirit gum.

Finish it off with a few stray gems stuck on here and there to give the transition effect of Emma just starting to turn diamond.

Because sometimes you just need a little sparkle in your life 😉
