How to Make a Christmas Wreath with Evergreens

In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make a Christmas wreath from evergreens.

How to Make a Christmas Wreath with Evergreens

MATERIALS USED:
3 types of evergreens – (I used arborvitae, fir, and white pine)
Wreath wire
Grapevine wreath hoop (learn to make your own here)
Scissors
Hand pruners
Wild money plant
5 pine cones
5 feet of festive holiday ribbon
Metallic Chrome silver paint
Metallic gold paint

The secret to make a Christmas wreath look good is texture. As such you’ll want to use multiple types of evergreens in your Christmas wreath to keep the texture varied. And a few natural accents painted festive silver and gold dress it up a bit.

The big multi-loop bow I use here is one that I tied out one of the many holiday ribbons available at craft stores this time of year. If you want to know how to tie a bow yourself, check out my bow-tying tutorial here. Tying your own bow gives you more flexibility in size and allows you to choose how many loops your bow has.

For the grapevine wreath, you can either make your own or purchase a premade hoop at a craft store. I generally prefer to make my own, but in this case, it was a commissioned wreath, so I used a hoop the woman had already purchased.
