Winter Soldier Arm – How to Make a Winter Soldier Arm

I had a couple requests for how to make a winter soldier arm, so here it is.

How to Make a Winter Soldier Arm

You will need:
Around 4 rolls of chrome silver duct tape (may need more or less depending on the size of your arm)
A plastic bag
Scissors
Red paint
Sealer
Paint brush

It took me a little while to figure out how to make a winter soldier arm. I needed something that resembled a mechanical arm without getting too expensive, but I finally settled on the simple solution of duct tape. While this is not a completely smooth finish like the real winter solider arm, and the line pattern is different, it’s one of the more inexpensive and fairly simple ways of making one.

When you’re wrapping your arm in duct tape, it’s easiest if you have a second person, rather than having to wrap it yourself as I did. Keep the wrapping quite loose as you go, both for circulation reasons, and so the duct tape arm still fits after you cut it open. It doesn’t have to be neat since you’ll cover it later, just as long as the plastic bag is covered.
