With two colors you can make fun and easy checkerboard soaps.

How to Make Checkerboard Soaps (melt and pour)

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Opaque melt and pour soap base
Melting pan
Soap scent
Soap dye (at least two colors)
Square or rectangular soap mold
Stirring stick
Knife

You can either use one scent for both colors of the checkerboard or be adventurous and give each color a different scent. You also don’t need to limit yourself to two colors. Add as many colors and scents as you want to your checkerboard. And because this project uses safer melt and pour soap, it’s a good craft to do with kids under adult supervision.

The scents are I use here are essential oils, and the dyes are homemade veggie dyes. I do have a tutorial posted for the dandelion dye here.
