Loki Costume Part 1 – How to Make Loki Costume Bracers
Here is the second part of the Loki Costume tutorial. These are the gold bracers.
As with the staff, these were already completed, so I can’t show the actual production, but I do explain how they were made. I took a lot of artistic liberty with these, because his real bracers were so complex. If you want to use the same design I used, you can download the free pattern here.

Hey, so I just stumbled on this and I’m trying to make it for my grandson. I just don’t understand how you covered the bracer pieces with fabric. It’s impossible to wrap it around and I feel like it will gray without a finished edge. Did you iron on first? Because I got sew on Pellon. Sorry just having a hard time figuring this part out!

Hi Debbie, glad you’re enjoying the tutorials.
The gold fabric is just laid over the top of the pellon and sewn on. I didn’t wrap any around the edges, so if someone looks really close at the bracers from the side, the pellon can still be seen under it. But for the most part, no one is checking that closely. Depending on the type of material you have, if you’re worried about fraying, you can use fabric glue or hot glue to stick down the edges of the fabric to the edges of the pellon so it can’t fray. Just make sure you do your sewing first, so you don’t have to try to sew around the glued areas later.
