How To Use Google Calendar When You’re a Projects Oriented Person
In this tutorial I’ll show you how to use Google calendar if you’re a projects oriented person.
While this tutorial demonstrates with Google calendar, you can use any calendar system you prefer. This little hack is not specific to just Google’s calendar. That’s simply the one I’m using in the tutorial, because that’s the one I use for my life. Use whichever calendar you prefer for yours.
If you’re a projects-oriented type of person, you may find that you have to hack the time-oriented world. The current world has been set up more for time-oriented people. (It’s also set up more for morning people, which is also not fair, but we won’t get into that now π ) So this will hopefully help you hack that time-oriented system to fit a projects-oriented life.
Between multiple jobs, freelance projects, and the farm, I have very complicated schedule that can change by the day. And it always varies depending on what part of the year it is. My calendar system is how I stay sane through all the craziness. I’d never get anything done if I didn’t have that as my handy little reference.
Makes Organizing So Much Easier
I use it for all my daily to-do’s, my random to-do’s, to keep track of my projects, my upcoming videos, social media posts for the week, appointments, etc. I use it for pretty much everything schedule related.
I’ve found it helps my life run much smoother, and I have more energy and get more done when I use it. That being said, I can’t use just the Google calendar. I think there’s something about the digital that can be exhausting, so I still have a type of physical planner that I use in correlation with my Google calendar.
So in a few weeks, I’ll be doing a tutorial showing how to make a DIY reusable planner to go with it. But first, thought I should show how the calendar worked. I hope you find it helpful in organizing your own life as well.
