In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make a DIY Star Wars Jedi temple guard pike lightsaber. It’s the long, doubled-bladed lightsaber generally wielded by the Jedi Temple Guards in Star Wars.

MATERIALS USED:
Cardboard tubes of different diameters (I used wrapping paper and baking paper tubes)
Scissors or utility knife
Electrical tape
Metallic copper paint and brush
Silver adhesive foil or silver paint
White school glue and Foam brush
Metallic gold paint
Metallic silver paint
Craft foam scraps
Black paint (or more electrical tape)
2 red beads or sequins
Hot glue gun
Scrap neon green poster board or paper
2 random beads
Gold adhesive foil

This lightsaber is rather time-consuming to make because of all the different layers. But since everything is mostly just cardboard and craft foam, it’s still inexpensive to put together.

I couldn’t figure out how to make it bend in half and lock in place (at least not with the materials I had on hand, and all the stores were closed at the time), so this one does have to stay in open position.
