Lara Croft Holster DIY
In this tutorial I’ll show you an easy way to make a DIY Lara Croft holster.
MATERIALS USED:
2 sheets of 3mm craft foam
1 foot of fake black leather (found in JoAnn Fabrics)
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Pencil
1 large belt
2 small belts
Power-tac or other strong glue
8 gold paper fasteners
Awl
The Lara Croft holster I made here is the simple one from some of the earlier versions of the Tomb Raider game. I did, however, alter the buckle. In the game she had a big rectangular gold buckle. I chose not to add it, as I thought the buckle that came with the belt looked kind of cool. If you want to be more true to source, however, you can easily cut a rectangle out of cardboard, paint it gold, and glue it to the front of the belt.
This tutorial is just for the holster, I didn’t do the rest of the costume, as the request was just for the holster. But fortunately the rest of the costume is pretty easy to throw together. A tank top, shorts, and hiking boots and you’re good to go.
