Magneto Costume Tutorial X-men 2000 version

In this week’s tutorial we’ll be making the X-men 2000 version of the Magneto costume.

Magneto Costume Tutorial X-men 2000 version

MATERIALS USED:
Black Blazer (from second hand shop)
Black pants (from second hand shop)
Scissors
Needle and Thread or sewing machine
4-6 hook and loop closures
3 yards black fabric
3 yards maroon satin lining

So in this tutorial we’ll be making the costume itself. I won’t be doing the helmet in this tutorial, as my brother is the one who made that (because he’s an incredible foamsmith), so this tutorial is for the costume only.

I did the plain cape from the X-men 2000 movie, but you can also alter it it fairly easily to be the asynchronous cape he wore in the The Last Stand and Days of Future Past. Magneto also wore black gloves. I forgot to use them in this video, but before I wear the costume out anywhere, I’ll probably be grabbing the ones from my Darth Vader costume to use. Basically you can just grab a pair from a second hand shop.

If you missed the X-men First Class costume a few weeks ago, you can check it out here.

And shoutout again to my friend Brett Linehan for helping with the ending skit. If you’d like to hear him play something other than the Darth Vader theme 😉 you can check out his music links here.
