Wii Fit Trainer Costume Tutorial – Last Minute Halloween Costumes
If you’re looking for last minute Halloween costumes, try this Wii fit trainer costume tutorial. It’s cheap and easy, so it’s perfect to put together last minute, and it’s a whole lot of fun to play around in.
MATERIALS USED:
Pair of workout pants with blue stripe on top (or just sew a piece of blue fabric onto the waistband) – I found mine in the Salvation Army.
Blue tank top or t-shirt (I found mine in the Salvation Army)
Scissors
Sewing machine or needle and thread
Scrap paper
White fabric paint and thin paintbrush
Large clear plastic ball (I used an old popcorn container)
Chrome silver duct tape
1 White finger light
A bit of large-bubble bubble wrap
The Wii fit trainer is my best character (sadly enough) in the Super Smash Brothers game, so it only made sense that I’d turn myself into her one day. So when I got a request from one of my followers to do some last minute Halloween costumes in my tutorials, I knew the Wii fit trainer costume would be a perfect fit.
The shirt and pants I used for the base in this costume I picked up for a few bucks each at the Salvation Army (I love that store, I’m so sad the nearby one closed!) I couldn’t find a tank top the right color, so I cut a t-shirt to make it into a tank top. However, if you happen to find a blue tank top, it’ll make your job even easier. For the pants, I was lucky enough to find a pair of black workout pants with a blue stripe already at the waistband. If you can’t find a pair like that, you can just sew a blue strip of material to your waistband to get the look.
I also did a quick chi globe in this tutorial, because let’s face it, it’s way more fun to go as the Wii fit trainer if you can throw around the energy balls. It’s also quick and easy in construction, so it still manages to stay within the last minute Halloween costumes category. And don’t forget to stretch your lumbar region and do pushups in the middle of a battle when your Wii fit trainer costume is done (if you’ve played the game, you get it).
What are some of your favorite last minute Halloween costumes?
