Captain America Shield – Cheap and Easy DIY

Easy DIY Captain America ShieldThis Captain America shield is made out of a $5 aluminum pizza tray.

I was initially going to detail the making of the whole costume, but I can’t seem to find where I put the rest of it, so it’s just the shield for now. Hopefully I’ll find the rest of the costume for later.

The aluminum this Captain America shield is made out of keeps it light enough to carry around a con, but feels more like a real shield than the lighter plastic ones sold commercially. The metallic paints can be found at JoAnn Fabrics or Michael’s.
