Ahsoka Tano Headpiece – DIY Lekku and Montrals

In this week’s tutorial I’ll show you how to make a cheap and easy DIY Ahsoka Tano headpiece.

Cheap and Easy DIY Ahsoka Headpiece (Ahsoka Tano Lekku and Montrals) - Star Wars Rebels, The Mandalorian

MATERIALS USED:
Lekku and Montrals template (available free in my patterns vault here)
Stretch fabric (white is best)
Stuffing
Sewing machine or needle and thread
Glue gun
Scissors
Pencil
Blue fabric paint
Brown distressed fabric (found in JoAnn Fabrics)
White cardboard or craft foam scraps

While latex lekku are probably the most sought after for this particular cosplay piece, a cheap alternative can be made with a little fabric and paint. Perfect for budget cosplayers.

The lekku and montrals of my DIY Ahsoka Tano headpiece started out yellow, as I was using up old fabric. So I painted it white later on. But if you just use white fabric to start with, then you won’t have to paint yours white.

Also the back piece was a little small on my Ahsoka headpiece, so I did enlarge it in the template I provided above. It should be a better fit for most people.
