DIY Sith Holocron (cardboard) – Star Wars Cheap Build

You won’t need any dark force abilities to make this DIY sith holocron.

DIY Sith Holocron (cardboard) - Star Wars Cheap Build

MATERIALS USED:
Holocron Template (can be downloaded free from my patterns vault)
Cardboard
Scissors or utility knife
Pencil
White school glue and Foam brush
Metallic gold paint
Glue (I used Power-tac)
Plastic sheet (I used old plastic packaging material)
Gold marking pen
Red finger light

This DIY sith holocron is super easy to create out of plain old cardboard. (And I made a template in my patterns vault if you don’t want to have to draw it freehand). The hardest part will be cutting out the 3 triangular shapes. Once you’ve got those cut, it’s a breeze to put together.

The plastic sheeting I used on my DIY sith holocron was just an old piece of plastic packaging. You find a lot of things packed in plastic these days (unfortunately…) from cookies to socks. So instead of just throwing it away, save that plastic packaging for your cosplays. Because recycled materials are not only more eco-friendly, but also FREE!

I took a little artistic liberty with the sith designs, as they were very complex, so I simplified them a bit when I was drawing them on. And if you want this to double as a sith wayfinder, you can swap out the red light for a green one.
